LaCie has always been known for going the extra mile and the LaCie Mobile SSD series is no exception. Free data recovery for the full warranty period. A free month to Adobe Cloud. Even two USB cables included in the box. The only thing missing is the proverbial kitchen sink.

With speeds that are sure to saturate most internal devices (except NVMe storage… obviously), the LaCie Mobile SSD is fast. So fast few will be able to tell the data is being piped over from an external source.
Write performance: 37 out of 40
Thanks to its excellent use of high performance (for SATA) Seagate BarraCuda SSD the write performance is also excellent.
Warranty: 8 out of 10
As with all the other areas, the LaCie Mobile SSD is sure to please. Yes it may not come with a 5 year warranty… but 3 years with 3 years of data recovery service is head and shoulders above the typical warranty offered on external devices. Color us impressed.
Value: 18 out of 20
If you really feel the need for speed it does not get much better than this. Of course, all this performance (and style) does come at a price. However, even with the asking price taken into consideration, it is a pretty darn good value.

This sure is not your granddaddy’s flash drive that is for sure. Excellent good looks. Excellent performance. Even a great warranty. There is very, very little to dislike about the LaCie Mobile SSD series. So much so that it easily justifies its asking price… even with an ‘Apple Tax’ included.
