Performance: 38 out of 40

By combing rather high factory speeds with tight timings the Ballistix Tactical DDR4-300 kit is indeed a slam-dunk success for Ballistix. Equally impressive is the kits abilities to even go higher with loose timings, or lower with even tighter timings. This makes it a great choice for a wide range of consumers.

Ease of Use: 20 out of 20

While you will need to push 1.35v to get the factory rated speeds this kit is perfectly fine at booting up at lower frequencies with only 1.2v. What this means is that is incredibly user-friendly with no hand holding needed during installation and setup. Mix in practical height heat spreaders and the same is true with cooler vs RAM compatibility issues.

Build Quality & Warranty: 18 out of 20

While we do have some minor quibbles over the thickness of the heat spreaders, at the end of the day this kit is built to extremely high standards. Mix in a lifetime warranty from a top-tier manufacture and we really have nothing but good things to say about this kit on this side of the equation.

Value: 16 out of 20

When you combine excellent ease of use with a killer warranty, and then throw in rather high performance the end result is nothing short of spectacular. Just be warned that to get all these abilities you will have to pay a moderate price premium compared to its Ballistix Sport brethren. Conversely it is a great deal compared to the higher priced Elite series.

Final Score: 92 out 100

With its combination of excellent performance, great versatility, and ease of use the Ballistix Tactical DDR4-3000 kit really needs to be on your short list. Just expect to pay a bit more than the average DDR4 kit for it.
