Final Score: 92 out 100
Let us be clear. We believe that Cooler Master had already fully redeemed themselves over their early death AIO debacle from a few years back. Obviously Cooler Master feels differently, and we are honestly glad they still have an inferiority complex. This feeling of inadequacy in their engineers has pushed them to make one of the best ‘thin’ radiator based AIO series available today. Put simply, if they had paired their new ATMOS block to a radiator as thick as Arctic… the ML 360 ATOMS would be the highest performing 360mm AIO available today. Instead of ‘merely’ being one of the best.
With minor quibbles of thickness of the radiator taken care of, the new block Cooler Master has introduced to the marketplace is a work of engineering prowess. Finally, their dual flow custom black design is… Clearly. Decisively. Obviously. Better. Than. Asetek. That is no mean feat and Cooler Master’s ATMOS engineering team should feel darn proud for beating the juggernaut of the AIO industry at their own game. So please, keep feeling the way y’all do, and keep pushing the boundaries of what is ‘known to be’ possible.
Make no mistake this new block is not just all about performance. Sure, it may lack an LCD screen. Sure, it may not have light up like the Las Vegas strip. Neither of that matter as it is attractive. It has enough LEDs to enhance the final aesthetics of a custom system. It will also be equally at home inside a teenage PC Gaming enthusiast’s system as that of an ultra-conservative ‘suit and tie’ 50 year-old man’s build. Yes, after years of tweaking the formula Cooler Master has not only created an excellent performing water block but one that is also gorgeous. Thus they finally have incredibly flexible AIO series that will work across a wide range of custom builds.
Mix in a (finally) brain-dead easy installation process, with a rather reasonable asking price, and this one-two-three-four combination makes for an AIO series that is more than just the sum of its parts. As such, the Cooler Master ATMOS series (be it a 240, 360, or something else) demands to be on your short list. Doing anything less would be doing a great disservice to you and your next system.
Congratulations Cooler Master for exceeding our expectations and making one heck of an AIO platform. Now if they only would add a VRM cooling fan to that (ironically) fan-tabulous new block and we would be utterly and completely happy converting all our future builds to Cooler Master AIO only builds.
The Review
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 ATMOS
Cooler Master's ATMOS AIO series shines with superior engineering and performance. The thin radiator, paired with the new ATMOS block, offers excellent cooling capabilities, rivaling thicker radiators. Cooler Master's dual-flow custom black design outperforms Asetek, making it a top choice for custom builds. The ATMOS block combines performance with an attractive LED design, suitable for various system aesthetics. It's easy to install and reasonably priced, making it a must-have for both gamers and professionals. Cooler Master's AIO platform is commendable, with potential for further improvement by adding a VRM cooling fan.
