It really is a shame that this new MLC NAND was not available when the MX300 series was being designed as it is vastly superior technology. The NAND is so much better that it can even make a rather mediocre controller seem like a superstar. As such the new BX300 series may not exactly be as fast as a MX300 but it is more durable and offers much more reliable performance. That is a combination that is hard to beat.
