Thanks to two excellent fans the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO performs much, much better than the typical $35 to $40 cooler. Based upon its cooling performance we highly doubt anyone would correctly guess how inexpensive it really is. Not that what we call exceeding expectations.
Ease of Use: 15 out of 20
Thanks to a moderately compact form-factor, and above average included hardware, most buyers will find the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO to be rather user-friendly. Sadly, the lack of AM3 mounting hardware will leave some buyers rather frustrated and having to wait on parts before they can use their latest purchase. As such potential buyers will either consider this a perfect 20… or 10 at best. We have split the difference.
Build Quality: 18 out of 20
Highly advanced fin array. Check. Highly advanced fans. Check. Even multiple color options. Check. Arctic really has set the bar higher than they found it when it comes to build quality on moderately priced cooling solutions. The only minor issues are the lack of compatibility and color choices their design team settled on (e.g. green instead of black). Otherwise it is darn near perfect.
Value: 18 out 20
The value of this CPU cooling solution is very good bordering on excellent. For what many manufactures charge for a single fan-based solution Arctic gives buyers two. This really does give the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO a leg up in stock ‘apples to apples’ performance comparisons. Mix in a warranty that is nearly unmatched with multiple color options and only AMD AM3 users will find this cooler wanting in the overall value department.

Arctic really knows how to do value right. Usually value means trading off the upfront cost for mediocrity in some other areas (aesthetics, ease of use, noise, etc.). The Freezer 34 eSports DUO on the other hand offers excellent performance, great looks, good ease of use, and a great warranty. The fact that Arctic were able to do all this and still come in with an under $40 asking price is amazing. As long as you do not have an older AMD or really old Intel system the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO demands to be on your radar. Its overall value is that high.
