Accessories: 3 out of 5
Lifetime warranty and included software or not the lack of an inexpensive long term storage container is a disappointment.
Read performance: 25 out 25
The read performance that this card offers is simply insane. This really is brushing up against the inherent limitations that CompactFlash specifications have built in. Put another way this card acts more like first generation CFast card rather than the typical CompactFlash card. That is impressive to say the least.
Write performance: 38 out of 40
While there is no denying that the write is ‘not that much better’ than the typical CompactFlash card the reality is this card is a lot more stable. Things like random stuttering and the like are just not an issue. This is the speed you can expect to get from the Superior 1100X series first time, every time.
Warranty: 8 out of 10
Just as with any legit CompactFlash series the Superior 1100X comes with a lifetime warranty that will be honored. The only issue is RMA’ing one may take longer than from most.
Value: 15 out of 20
While the Superior 1100X costs nearly three times per Gigabyte of what Lexar 1066X CompactFlash series costs, you do get a lot more performance for your money. Mix in a lifetime warranty and good software and while the asking price is hard to get past the overall value is still pretty decent. Its just that good a series.
