Performance: 36 out of 40
EVGA CLC 240’s performance is not the best of the best. It is not even best for its class. Instead, it is ‘merely’ very good. Counteracting this negative point is while the performance starts out very good it only gets better – relatively speaking – the slower the fans spin. This is because the fans performance profile is noticeably larger than most with a lot of advanced technology baked into them. This combination results in performance that can easily be classified as ‘rather good’ to say the least.

Ease of Use: 19 out of 20
Ease of installation is a key part of any all-in-one water cooling solution’s appeal, and EVGA obviously spent time, effort, and budget to ensure that the CLC series stands out from typical Asetek designs. We really wish other manufacturers would cut out a needless step as EVGA does… and mount the frickin’ fans at the factory for you.

Build Quality: 17 out of 20
In most ways, the EVGA CLC 240 is classic Asetek generation 5 build. This means decent polishing on the base, well thought out installation hardware, good hardware, and very good pump and fan speed control abilities. Where it stands out is in the thought that was put into customizing the basic Asetek 5th generation design. This is best exemplified by the fans. Fans which are well above average, come pre-installed and generally do not need to spin at full speed to get the job done. So while the foundation is fairly standard the end result is not. Not perfect, but certainly above average.

Value: 20 out of 20
Good cooling? Check. Great fans? Check. Easy installation process? Check. Noticeably lower asking price than other Asetek based units? Double check! What is not to like?!

Final Score: 92 out of 100
The EVGA CLC 240 is an incredible value with the above average installation process, fans with an ultra-wide performance envelope, and generally very good cooling performance. It even has EVGA’s legendary warranty backstopping it for five years. That all adds up to a great deal in our books.
