The Intel 6950X is not a great overclocking CPU… but it does overclock noticeably better than AMD’s Ryzen 7 series. Thus, the difference in performance between the Ryzen and Intel X CPU only gets wider. Is the 5-18 percent performance difference worth huge increase in cost? We don’t think so… but AMD really needs to figure out how to get some more headroom as Ryzen 7 is good… but not the slam dunk it could have been. That or figure out how to make a three CCX Ryzen and offer a twelve core beast. Then the reduction in individual core performance would be negated by having more cores on tap. Until then the 6950X is still the king of bling computers.
