Performance: 33 out of 40

Let’s be clear here. The MasterAir MA624 Stealth is a good cooling solution. So good it will smoke most small cooling solutions like Cooler Master’s very own Hyper 212 series and even most small 120 or 140mm AIOs. We simply are judging it based on its relative performance merits. Specifically, performance relative to other dual tower coolers. Against the D15 or PH-TC14PE’s of the industry… Cooler Master may want to rethink their choice of fans and base finishes.

Ease of Use: 18 out of 20

Thanks to a well thought out design and above average included hardware, most buyers will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to get this massive beast up and running. Just understand that we are judging it based on other 3-fan, dual tower designs. Not itty-bitty coolers like the CM 212 series. So while it is a solid 18 for its class… if you are expecting this 18 to be as easy to work with as a Hyper 212 you will be greatly disappointed. Even excellent dual towers will barely score a 12 when compared against those tiny coolers. So adjust your final score based on your expectations. Not ours.

Build Quality: 18 out of 20

Except for the whole ‘we forgot to include another set of fan mounts’ the build quality is rather good. This should come as no surprise as it is a 100 US dollar cooling solution. Expected or not, the MasterAir MA624 Stealth is built to a very high standard. One that even the little things like (relatively) easy installation process were taken into consideration. Now if they would only include enough hardware to use all the included fans and we would be truly happy.

Value: 15 out 20

Due to the fact you are paying a premium for peace of mind on the installation front the MasterAir MA624 Stealth will either be a very good value or merely a decent one. It really does boil down to how much you are willing to pay for “one and done” peace of mind. As such, some will think it’s a solid 18 out of 20, while others will consider it a soft 12. We are splitting the difference so as to be fair.

Final Score: 84 out 100

With its combination of drop dead gorgeous aesthetics, good performance, and even ease of use the MasterAir MA624 Stealth is worthy of its “Master (of) Air” moniker. Just understand that its implementation is not perfect, and its quirks may annoy you… but none are insurmountable nor all that difficult to work around.
